The Lord revealed to me that we as believers have already been healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17; and I Peter 2:24). Jesus has already paid for our bodies to be made whole with his sinless blood sacrifice (Psalms 103:1-3).
One day I was complaining to God that I had prayed for others and they had received miracles, but I hadn’t experienced my own. I was attacked with bronchitis and called my friend from Regent University. She prayed for me and my right sinuses and ear popped open! I stood up and lifted my hands to thank God, and the left side cleared up. I was completely healed!
But wait, there’s more…
God heals you even if it was your fault! I was trying to show off for my fitness instructor and used too heavy a weight during a lunge and tore something in my knee. Another prayer warrior friend prayed at least ten minutes while laying hands on my knee. As she left, she said, “I will call you tomorrow when you’re healed!” She called just a little before my healing manifested. I was bored sitting with a pillow under my knee, and heard God say, “Run.” I lived on a hillside, so I went to the office where it was flat. With no one around, I started to try to run, and the pain began to subside. I drove two hours to demonstrated a 3D printer to elementary students. I told them and their teachers, “Jesus healed my knee!”
God heals you when you pray for others (James 5:16)! While on a mission trip to the Navajo, the nurse asked me, “How is your shoulder?” I had injured it while mowing. I said I wasn’t worried about it. I wanted to focus on praying for the Navajo. I also was between jobs and did not have health insurance. I had heard the only help is surgery for a torn rotator cuff. I went into the healing service we were having for the Navajo. A couple ministered on healing. I was sitting by a grandma Navajo and was the last to leave the service since she wanted me to pray for her several grandchildren by name. I went back to my room and the nurse asked by the Holy Spirit again, “How is your shoulder? While trying to feel for the pain, I replied, “Well, it’s….” I was surprised I couldn’t feel the pain! It had been healed in the service, and I didn’t even know it! I did not want people think I was a fanatic, so I said, “It’s still a little tender.” I heard the Holy Spirit say, “OK,” and a little tenderness came back. I said, “Oh, no. It is completely healed and all the pain left!” The Holy Spirit was teaching me that we can have what we say (Proverbs 18:21; Mark 11:22-23; Romans 4:17; ).
God heals you in His glory! I was at the dentist for a free tooth cleaning, and he accidentally cracked my cracked tooth even more! He offered a free $600 crown and a $1200 root canal by an oral surgeon. I did not have much money and was moving. I did not want to spend that kind of money. I went with my prayer warrior friend and another lady to Calvary Campground in Virginia to get healed. The missionary had a healing line. When she came to me, she asked, “What would you like Jesus to do for you?” I replied, “Heal my cracked tooth.” She said, “Oh, Jesus is good at healing teeth,” and laid hands on me. I felt a touch of the anointing. I could have resisted it, but I knew a man was behind me to catch me, so I laid on the floor. My mind was racing. It said, “Get up, get up, get up!” I told it silently, “Shut up! I came all this way to be healed. Go ahead Jesus and do whatever you want,” and tried to quiet my mind and wait. My mind started up again, “It’s getting late and you’re friends are going to leave.” I told my mind to “Be quiet!”. Then I saw in my mind’s eye a vision of Jesus’ walking up beside me on the floor. I could see his feet in his sandals and the hem of his garment. Inside I could hear him say, “I Am your dentist.” That was it! I had my word from the Lord, so I got up. My friends had bought me a book at the bookstore. When I got home the next day, I felt the nerve where my tooth had been cracked. I said, “Oh no, Devil! I have my Word from the Lord and ‘affliction shall not rise up a second time’ (Nahum 1:9)”. My tooth has been healed ever since!
God wants you to receive your healing. If you’re a believer in Jesus, you have authority to speak to the symptoms to leave in His Name (Acts 3:16). If you’re not a Christian, you can cry out for His mercy (Matthew 15:28). Remember, God’s agape love for you is “incalculable” (Ephesians 2:4-9)!
